Scrapes and Hydrogen Peroxide

Remembers when scrapes and wounds on the knees and elbows (and the eventual “nana” when they got infected) were normal occurences. Being treated with merthiolate, agua oxinada, Teramycin, Leukoplast, and Band-Aid was a regular part of every kid’s day. I wonder if kids nowadays still go through this.

Cough Medicine: VICKS Formula 44 Forte


Ricky remembers Vicks Formula 44 Forte. It came in this bottle with really thick glass and it was the only medicine then that came in a “squarish” bottle. True to its name, it seemed to relieve coughs almost instantly. Naturally, it did not taste very good.
